Andaiye Alimayu....combines her ancestral wisdom with the gift of "epic memory" to create art. The ability to recall complicated techniques such as knot tying, sewing, weaving patterns
and beading from her ancestral memory allows her work to flourish. The artist
began creating as a means of therapy
and spiritual upliftment.
The Artist Andaiye holds a Pre-Medical
Bachelor of Science degree in Biology
with a minor in Chemistry from Xavier
University of Louisiana. Her academic
and spiritual background affords her
the ability to create natural, hypo-
allergenic bath & body products,
unique fragrances, dynamic hand-crafted
jewelry, handmade incense and not to
mention....a great mother! She is also
a singer/songwriter with the Reggae/
Worldbeat band - ZION Trinity. |

Sula Janet Evans....has been with The Emporium since 1996. She has traveled extensively throughout Africa and the Caribbean and serves as the international
representative for the company.
Sula holds a Bachelor of Arts degree (with honors) in both English Literature and
African Studies from Rutgers University
in New Jersey, her native state. She is
a visual artist, painter, jewelry crafter,
incense maker, songwriter and singer
with the band ZION Trinity.
